| As most of you realize by now, my
nickname is White Meat. In summer of 2007, I went on a missions trip
with my youth group to inner-city Chicago to minister to underprivileged
children. Most of these children were Hispanic or African-American.
My youth group stayed at Inner City Impact (ICI) during the week and
helped with their day camps. We also were helpers for their Jr. High
Night. It was at this time that one of the kids called me Dirk
Nowitzki (because I was a tall white guy) and another called me
"White Meat." To make a long story short, the other kids
liked "White Meat" and called me that the rest of the
week. The nickname has stuck and it is now infamous.
